Vikings Betting Preview
The Vikings remain on the fringe of the playoff picture and will be highly motivated. Minnesota currently sits at 6-5-1 and would be the sixth seed in the NFC playoffs if the season ended today.
The Vikings were 24-10 losers last Sunday at New England. They entered the game allowing the third-fewest rushing yards in the league (93.6 per game). But New England was able to spread them out, rushing for 160 yards. Kirk Cousins kept Minnesota in the game early, before faltering down the stretch. He finished 32 of 44 for 201 yards and touchdown but had two late interceptions. Coming off a stellar performance in the previous week’s win over Green Bay, Cousins fell apart Sunday, averaging a dismal 4.6 yards per attempt in the loss to New England.
Dalvin Cook rolled to 84 yards on nine carries while supplying eight catches for 22 yards. Minnesota averaged 7.3 yards per carry Sunday against New England with 95 rushing yards on just 13 attempts. That is the Vikings highest average rushing total since Week 10 of the 2015 season when they averaged 8.0 yards per carry against the Raiders.
Adam Thielen registered five grabs for 28 yards and a touchdown. It wasn’t one of Thielen’s better performances, though he still boasts a 98-1,166-9 receiving line for the season. Diggs entered last Sunday with a questionable tag but played through his injury, finishing with a 5-49-0 line. The Vikings funnel 51% of the team’s targets to Thielen & Diggs. Outside of them the only other Viking receiver I would consider is Kyle Rudolph, but he’s nothing to get excited about.

Seattle Seahawks Betting Preview
The Seahawks are 7-5 and are competing for a Wild Card spot as the Rams have already clinched the NFC West. Seattle blew out San Francisco last week 43-16. Russell Wilson completed 11-of-17 passes for 185 yards and four touchdowns. Wilson only threw six passes in the first half, but he made them count. Wilson now has multiple touchdowns in all but one game this season and is easily on pace to set a new career-high in touchdowns. What you would not expect from a mobile quarterback is that he has no rushing touchdowns and is averaging just 20.4 rushing yards per game. Last season, he averaged 37 rushing yards per game.
Running back Chris Carson had 13 carries for 69 yards before leaving last week’s game early with a dislocated finger. It sounds like he’ll be good to go for this Monday Night game. Behind him it becomes running back by committee so I wouldn’t expect any other back to get enough carries to have a big upside. The receiers; Jaron Brown, Tyler Lockett and Doug Baldwin all had touchdowns last week but none of them had more than four targets. This makes it difficult for any one receiver to consistently top the 100 yard receiving mark. David Moore had zero catches last week coming off a game where he had a 103-yard, one touchdown game.
Seahawk Prop Bet Picks
Total Passing Yards – Russell Wilson (SEA) UNDER 235.5 (-110)
Total Passing Attempts In The Game – Russell Wilson (SEA) UNDER 28.5 (-110)
Total Completions – Russell Wilson (SEA) UNDER 19.5 (-115)
Total Rushing Yards – Russell Wilson (SEA) UNDER 19.5 (-115)
Total Touchdown Passes – Russell Wilson (SEA) OVER 1.5 (-185)
Vikings vs Seahawks Betting Predictions:
The Vikings are not as good as they were last year and it is not all the quarterbacks fault. The defense has shown cracks and Russell Wilson and the Seahawks should be able to control the ball and score over 24 points tonight. The Vikings on the other had do not have a consistent offensive presence to lean on in big games. They will try to run early but I expect the Seahawks to be able to slow down the run and force the Vikings to try and win the game passing the ball. In the end I have Cousins getting plenty of yards but not cashing in on touchdowns. I am taking the Seahawks and laying the points.
