Cowboys vs Eagles
Prop Betting Preview & Picks

Sunday Night Football in Philadelphia with the Eagles a favorite at -7.5.

Dallas Cowboys

Dak Prescott threw a pair of touchdown passes last week against the Titans, but the Cowboys have been one of the worst passing offenses in the league so far this season. Prescott hasn’t even been a good bet on rushing yards so far this season so I really do not see a lot of big numbers from him in this one. If Dak does get some big yards it will come from short passes to Ezekiel Elliott and his ability to break a long one. Elliot has gone over 100 rushing yards only once in his last four games as teams have focused on stopping the run. However, this does open up the passing game a little and has the Cowboys looking to pass to Zeke more to get him some touches. Other than Zeke the only other real threat on the Cowboys offense is Amari Cooper who caught 5 of the 8 passes thrown to him for 58 yards and a score. Cooper has been known to disappear in games but the Cowboys will need to keep giving him the ball if they are going to have a chance to win so I expect 8+ targets this week. Cole Beasley can break some big plays but I don’t see Dak forcing him the ball the way he will Cooper. At tight end? Nothing to even consider

Philadelphia Eagles

Carson Wentz is back. He has thrown multiple touchdown passes in all 5 games. This week he goes against a Cowboys secondary that ranks 26th against the pass. The only question I have on Wentz is will the Eagles run the ball once they have a lead or will they let him keep throwing the ball. At running back the Eagles have several options with Wendell Smallwood and Corey Clement. Smallwood has 60 carries to Clement’s 50 on the season, and he also has 22 receiving targets to Clement’s 16 targets. At receiver Golden Tate is set to make his Eagles debut. Alshon Jeffery will still be top receiver but I can see Tate taking away targets from Nelson Agholor. Zach Ertz is still the best receiver on the Eagles and I expect him to come close to another 100 yards and get a touchdown against a vulnerable Dallas secondary. I do like the Eagles to keep passing in this game even if they have a lead so I am all in on the Eagles receivers and the better receiving running back in Smallwood.

I am using odds from and as you can see there are several prop bets available on the same betting event. I have three bets on Carson Wentz passing yardage total.
