The Kansas City Chiefs put the best record in the conference on the line against the Bengals, who are tied atop the AFC North standings.

Both teams lost last week. The Bengals to Pittsburgh on a score with 10 seconds remaining and claim a 28-21 victory. Kansas City lost at New England on a field goal in the final seconds 43-40.

Cincinnati ranks just 23rd in total offense but sixth in scoring thanks to a league-best 75 percent touchdown rate in the red zone.

The Chief’s Patrick Mahomes has passed for 1,865 yards with 18 touchdowns and four interceptions in only six games. Running back Kareem Hunt and wide receiver Tyreek Hill have combined for 13 touchdowns. The defense has been another story, ranking last in the NFL in total defense and 27th in scoring.

Andy Dalton has a great matchup against a Chiefs defense that has been pathetic so far this season. Andy Dalton’s 14 touchdowns are tied for 4th in the NFL and he has passed for multiple touchdowns in 5 of his 6 games this season. The Chiefs will score and score so Dalton will have plenty of attempts that should lead to over 300 passing yards.

I am going with the assumption that Giovani Bernard out. That leaves Joe Mixon to carry the load in both the running and passing game. The Chiefs rank last in run DVOA. Even in a pass happy shootout, I expect Mixon to get a decent workload running the ball. I really like him near the goal line to get at least one rushing touchdown.

A.J. Green caught seven of his team-high 12 targets last week but only gained 85 yards. Tyler Boyd had nine targets for a 7-62-2 line. C.J. Uzomah is the only health tight end for the Bengals as they’ve lost both Tyler Eifert and Tyler Kroft to injuries. For the second consecutive game, Uzomah played on 92% of the team’s snaps and saw seven targets last week. These three receivers along with Mixon should stay on the field 85% plus of the snaps.

Kansas City Chiefs
Prop Betting Picks

Patrick Mahomes threw for four touchdowns against the Patriots and the Chiefs still lost. He leads the NFL in passing touchdowns and with his defense he will to produce like that for the Chiefs to win.

Kareem Hunt had 80 yards on the ground and a season-high five receptions for 105 yards and a touchdown. What was different against the Patriots is that Hunt became a duel threat back and I like him to remain one for the remainder of the season.

Against the Patriots Tyreek Hill had a team-high 12 targets 7 receptions for 142 yards with three touchdowns.Travis Kelce caught just five of his nine targets for 61 yards but, the Patriots were trying to take him out of the game and that left Hill open. It is at that point where a defense has to pick it’s poison. I have the Bengals trying to take away Hill in this one which should leave Sammy Watkins and Chris Conley in a position to get good targets and yards.
