Eagles vs Cowboys Prop Bet Picks

Philadelphia Eagles

The Eagles quarterback Carson Wentz has been downright impressive in every facet of the game this year, and there doesn’t appear to be a major weakness. Wentz has tossed four more touchdown passes than any other quarterback in the league so he is not just a good yardage play. New running back Jay Ajayi has had enough time to be fully involved in the offense and the Cowboys will be without linebacker Sean Lee. The Eagles didn’t trade for him to just sit and watch. He will be worked in as a primary back who can run and catch the pass so he will get the touches each week. This season hasn’t been that great for wide receiver Alshon Jeffery, but he has had tough matchups and he is in a good position to do better the rest of the season. He did have a couple of touchdowns in the win over the Broncos heading but he hasn’t had a 100 receiving yards in a game this season. Tight end Zach Ertz continues to be a primary target and will be even better in the red zone with the play action pass. Philadelphia’s offense will be able to move the ball and the Eagles are starting to look like the Patriots in that you know they will score but there are so many offensive weapons that it can be any of a number of players who gets the yards and touchdowns.

Dallas Cowboys

Quarterback Dak Prescott was under extreme pressure last week and it should be a revelation to all of the fans who do not appreciate how a good offensive left tackle can make a quarterback better. Philadelphia’s defense now ranks inside the top 10 in DVOA against the pass and Dallas will be without Ezekiel Elliott. This game can quickly get away from Dallas if the Eagles put up a couple of early touchdowns. Dallas will go with running back Alfred Morris who played on 35% of the snaps last week because he is not a good receiver and will be taken out of any game that they are behind. Dez Bryant just isn’t the same player anymore. He looks like he got old quick and that can happen when injuries to the lower body linger. Cole Beasley should benefit from some of the targets that would have gone to a healthy Dez. Jason Witten will also get some targets as Dak will need to make some quick passes underneath.
The Cowboys are in a very bad spot here. They play again on Thanksgiving and need to win one of these two games to keep playoff hopes alive while they wait for Zeke to return. I have the Eagles getting an early lead and the Cowboys taking out Dez to let him heal a little more the Thursday’s game. Dak will be in and he will get some slop yards.
