The Kansas City Chiefs (6-2) offense has clicked thanks to the flawless play of quarterback Alex Smith and the emergence of rookie Kareem Hunt, who leads the NFL in rushing yards (763) and scrimmage yards (1,070). The Kansas City defense has forced 13 turnovers, including five in last week’s 29-19 win over Denver. However, Ezekiel Elliott’s availability for the game does hurt the Chiefs who have a defense that ranks 28th against the run. Elliott has rushed for 297 yards and four touchdowns over the last two games.
The Dallas Cowboys (4-3) will have Ezekiel Elliott on Sunday and that means the Cowboys will not need to change the offense for this weeks game. Dak, Zeke and, Dez should all all be ready to play and have success. The Cowboys’ defense success can be traced to their ability to stop the run or not stop the run. Dallas has allowed an average of 59 yards on the ground in their four wins compared to 168.7 in their three losses.
Chiefs vs Cowboys Game Betting Preview
I am not a fan of the Cowboys defense and I have the Chiefs balanced offense being able to get in the end zone against them. On the other side the presence of Elliot opens up the whole offense. Just take a look back at what Leveon Bell and Antonio Brown were able to do against the Chiefs in Kansas City and you have a blue print for the Cowboys offense. Both teams will be able to score and in the end this game will come down to a couple of turnovers.
Dallas ranks 29th in DVOA against tight ends and does not have a shutdown corner so once the Chiefs run Hunt a few times the play action passing will be there and so will the deep pass. The Cowboys Dez Bryant should be able to avoid the Chiefs Marcus Peters’ because the Chiefs rarely use him to shadow a wide receiver. Love the scoring in this game and that is my bet.
