Prop Betting Preview 10-26-17

Miami Dolphins

At quarterback Matt Moore replaced an injured Jay Cutler last week and played well in helping the Dolphins to a come from behind victory. He looked better than Cutler and must be considered an upgrade for the Dolphins offense. Running back Jay Ajayi has been good but not great this year. Somehow he hasn’t scored a touchdown yet despite getting heavy volume. Ajayi will get a lot of touches both running the ball and as a receiver (20+ carries in every game). With Moore at quarterback I really like the upside for Jarvis Landry and Kenny Stills. Moore likes to throw the ball down the field and while the targets might not increase there will be more targets down the field.

Baltimore Ravens

Joe Flacco looks washed up. I see no reason for this to turn around today. The Ravens will need to run to win and that would present an upside at running back if there was one real number one back. Unfortunately the Ravens share carries between Alex Collins and Javorius Allen. Collins is the back the Ravens prefer if they are ahead or close in the game and Allen is the better receiver who will see more time if the Ravens are behind. For this game I like Collins to get more of the touches in a closer grind it out game. It is easy to blame the Raven’s bad pass offense on Flacco but it is a team effort. At wide receiver who is he supposed to throw the ball to? Breshad Perriman has a concussion. Mike Wallace has a concussion. Jeremy Maclin didn’t play last week.  Who will play this week? If he does play how long before he gets hit and leaves the game? I don’t like any of the Ravens to play a big role this week.
