Falcons vs Lions
Player Prop Bet Analysis

Atlanta Falcons

The online sportsbooks have this game listed as one of the highest scoring totals of the weekend. Matt Ryan and the Falcons got out to an early lead last week and were able to slow it down in the second half. I don’t expect that to happen this week against the Lions.

The Lions have allowed only 107 rushing yards and 3.0 yards per carry in two games this season. They didn’t play against top running games but it does show a commitment to shutting to the run. Not a good sign for Falcons running backs who already split the carries. Julio Jones started off fast last week ( I had him on a prop and DFS) but then slowed down in the second half as the Falcons ran the clock out. I like the Falcons to air it out in this game and Jones should go for over a 100 yards. Mohamed Sanu and Taylor Gabriel are both good options. Since I have Ryan going fo rover 300 yards there will be plenty of opportunities for all of the WR to get catches.

Detroit Lions

This will be an early test for the Lions to see where they rank in the NFC. Matthew Stafford got a fat contract this year to win games like this. He will be the focus of a passing game that will throw a lot of short and medium routes to take advantage of the Falcons weak pass defense. If you watched the game against the Packers last week I hope you noticed how tired and slow the Falcons defense looked in the fourth quarter. Get ready for a track meet.

This is a pass receiving game so at running back I like Theo Riddick to be the focus. Atlanta is weak against pass catching running backs and Riddick will be able to move the chains with a lot of underneath receptions. I also like Eric Ebron at tight end to get plenty of targets and maybe a touchdown.
