2017 Super Bowl 51 Odds & Prediction
It is the start of another year of football betting and while I will be making individual game, I will also make some futures bets and prop bets along the way. Lets start out with one of the most popular bets on the board. Who will win Super Bowl 51 in 2017.
Pittsburgh Steelers (11-1)
Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger leads the most talented offense in football, featuring the NFL’s best receiver (Antonio Brown) and its best running back when healthy or not suspended (Le’Veon Bell). Despite dealing with injuries the Steelers finished third in total offense last season. On defense they are good against the run and get a good pass rush. That leads to the only major trouble spot on the team and that is the pass defense. It should be good enough and force enough turnovers for the Steelers to have home field advantage in the playoffs. The Pats missing Brady for four games helps in that regard.
Last year they should have beaten the Broncos in Denver but this year I expect them to have the best record in the AFC and home field advantage throughout the playoffs.
Arizona Cardinals (11-1)
Much like the Steelers the Cardinals had a great season last year. They have the quarterback in Carson Palmer who at 36 seems to have enough left to make at least one more run. They have the top receiving talent and a solid running game. The defense should be better. The two things standing in the way of the Cardinals will be getting everyone healthy and getting home field advantage in the playoffs. That won’t be easy with Seattle in the same division but I like the Cards to make a run this year.
By getting both teams at 11 to 1, I am hoping that at least one makes it to Super Bowl 51. Then I can hedge the other side and cash $$$$.
