Green Bay Packers vs Minnesota Vikings NFL Prop Bet Picks
Tonight’s Sunday Night football game has over 60 prop bets available from Bovada.
My Prop Bets for Packers vs Vikings
Total Rushing Yards – Adrian Peterson (MIN)
1) Pick Adrian Peterson — UNDER rushing yards (79.5)
To Score a Touchdown
This is one of my favorite bets. I use my daily fantasy football projections to find a player that I think will be the sleeper pick. Think about it, in DFS it is the touchdown scorer that will make your fantasy team. The same is true here. Once you isolate your player check out his prop bet odds and if it looks good then hammer it.
Anytime Touchdown – Jordy Nelson (GB)
He is back. The man that Rodgers needs to be healthy is back and this could be his breakout game. Take the 2014 season, the last time Nelson he played against Minnesota. It was a Thursday night game at Lambeau Field and, he was held to only one catch. A 66-yard touchdown. Six weeks later, he methodically picked them apart with eight catches for 68 yards. Last week he Nelson he was the underneath and had six catches for 32 yards and a touchdown. This week I expect them to open it up a little more and Rodgers to get at least one touchdown pass with Nelson.
2) Pick Jordy Nelston — Scores a touchdown (+125)
Total Field Goals – Green Bay Packers & Minnesota Vikings
Lets just take a look at last years games. The final scores were (Green Bay 30 – Minnesota 13) & (Vikings 20 – Packers 13). What stands out? Field goals. Both of these teams have done a good job of stopping the other in the red zone. More of the same today for both teams. The Vikings attempted the second most field goals per game in 2015 and they are leading the league in attempts this year. The Packers are more in the middle and averaged 1.8 attempts per game last year.
3) Pick Packers field goals — Over 1.5 (-155)
4) Pick Vikings field goals — Over 1.5 (-155)
Defensive Touchdown – Green Bay Packers or Minnesota Vikings
I like that this bet involves both teams. If either the Green Bay Packers or Minnesota Vikings score a defensive or special team touchdown the bet pays off. The Vikings already have two defensive touchdowns and they will need to get another one to stay in this game. The Vikings will have to take some more risk on defense than they like against Rodgers but, he will throw a pass or two he shouldn’t. On the other side, it is Sam Bradford time. One thing to remember about him is that he wears down in a game and in the second half his out passes lack power. I can see both of them getting picked off at least once and when that happens I have a chance on this bet.
5) Defensive or Special Teams Touchdown — Yes (+175)
