Kansas City Chiefs Futures Bets
The 2016-2017 season begins soon and it is time to start wagering on football. There is no reason to wait until the regular season begins to get our bets down. One of the most common football prop bets on the board is the win total for a team and who will win the division title. Lets take a took at the Kansas City Chiefs.
According to Bovada Online Sportsbook:
Win Total is 9.5 wins with the over at (-115) and the under at (-115)
The Chiefs have been a top regular season team since Andy Reid took over. Last year they went 12-6 (11-5 regular season) straight up including the playoffs. Against the spread they were just 9-9. But, lets focus on the SU number since that is the one that will determine if the win total bet pays or not. The Chiefs would have to win 2 fewer games not to cover the over. Why would that happen? The same head coach is back and the same quarterback has returned. In large part this is the same team as last year. Have the Broncos, Raiders and Chargers all gotten better? Nope, if anything it is reasonable to look at Denver as a worse team. The Raiders are better but the Chargers are just spinning their wheels again as they can’t even sign their top draft pick. Taking the Chiefs and regular season Andy Reid to get me at least 10 wins.
Kansas City Chiefs to win the AFC West at plus +210
The Chiefs might have been the best team in the NFL down the stretch last year, winning 11 consecutive games before losing by a touchdown at New England in the divisional round of the playoffs. The Broncos have “butt fumble” at quarterback. The Raiders are highly thought of but the defense has some major troubles in the secondary. The Chargers are the Chargers. They will find a way to win between 4 & 6 games. The Chiefs have real value. They went 11-5 last regular season and are still solid on all three phases of the game.
