Super Bowl 51 Betting Odds 01-15-17
Super Bowl 51 will be played on February 5, 2017 at Stadium NRG Stadium, Houston, Texas. Fox will be broadcasting the game. What we know now is there are four teams that have a chance to win it all. Which two teams will make and more importantly, which one team will win it all.
We are not psychic but the sportsbooks think they are and here are the odds for Super Bowl LI. The odds are the opening Super Bowl 51 Futures odds from the Westgate Sportsbook in Las Vegas (my favorite).
Atlanta Falcons (+260)
Green Bay Packers (+400)
New England Patriots (+125)
Pittsburgh Steelers (+400)
Game Lines from Sportsbetting.ag
The Patriots opened as a 4.5 favorite vs the Steelers and it was quickly bet up to New England -5.5. The Atlanta Falcons are a home favorite of 4.5 points vs the Green Bay Packers. The totals are currently 60.5 for the Green Bay vs Atlanta game and 50.5 for the Steelers vs Patriots game.
Fox will have new technology for Super Bowl LI
Fox will be televising the game and they will be introducing some new technology for the game.
On January 12, 2017, Fox announced that it planned to introduce a new feature known as Be the Player, which will allow the presentation of instant replays from the first-person perspective of a player. The system will utilize technology co-developed by Intel, which uses an array of 38 cameras installed around the stadium to reconstruct a player perspective without requiring them to be equipped with cameras themselves.
Sounds great but I wonder how long it will slow down the game while they do reviews of each play? 38 cameras? Shouldn’t take long to review a call.
